Final: San Diego St 79, #12 Gonzaga 76

What a game to round out the finale. This was far and away the best game of the entire day. Now, I had said in the preseason that I thought San Diego St was overrated. I can say now that I was very wrong. This team is athletic, everyone can shoot, theyre big, and they are surprisingly under control. The team last year was very out of control but this team does a good job of slowing it down and running a real team game. They hit the offensive glass as good as any team I have seen and are very well coached. Watch out for this team down the road.
As for Gonzaga, they have some obvious issues. They only have one true scorer in Gray, and someone else will need to step up. Most thought that would be Elias Harris, but he had only 2 points last night before exiting with an injury in the middle of the second half. Also, they have rebounding issues bigtime. I'm not sure what the stats were, but it really seemed like San Diego St was getting 2 or 3 chances every time down the court. San Diego St had 22 second chance points, and that is one thing that will kill you if youre Gonzaga. They are still a talented team, but they need to sort out these issues before I can call them elite, because, right now, it looks as if they might be a bit overrated.

Game Predictions: 8 for 13, not what I was hoping for
