Final: #5 Ohio St 93, #10 Florida 75

Wow, how good did Ohio St look in that second half? Good heavens, did I not say this team would be better than last year? They look very good, definitely worthy of their early top 5 ranking. They have the freshman Sullinger who looks absolutely fantastic right now. Although Jimmy Dykes wears me out, he made a good point about Sullinger tonight. He said that Sullinger knows who he is, that he plays down low and does not feel like he needs to play out on the perimeter, which is very rare for a young big man. On top of Sullinger and the other freshman, the PG Aaron Craft, they have the experience needed to have a deep March run. They have Lauderdale, who, teamed up with Sullinger, already gives them more depth down low than they had last year. Finally, they are still able to shoot lights out from beyond the arc. I dare you to find a better shooter in college hoops than Jon Diebler. You cant. Lighty provides the leadership and he is the true, much-needed shooter and slasher, along with the secondary slasher William Buford. This team is ridiculous, and everyone best pay attention to them come March if they can keep this up.
Now, on the flip side, we have Florida. They played an absolutely miserable 2nd half tonight. Their big men tore it up the first half, but did not even get the ball much the 2nd half. We saw that the Florida guards did not grow up any this offseason, shocker. They are still the same old out of control, jack ridiculous shots type players that we got used to last year. Its a shame because they are so talented down low, but without decent guard play, there is no way this team can achieve their full potential. Give them a couple months and we will check back in, but right now, this team is a mess.
