ACC
The Miami/Virginia Tech era which started in 2004, has not gotten off to the start that the conference had hoped. Although VT has been great, winning 4 conference titles since joining the ACC in 2004, Miami, which is a more nationally appealing school, has not been great and has zero titles since joining. Florida State looks to be on the rise though, and Miami is finally hitting the recruiting trail strong once again, so the conference could be on the way back up with their two brand-names looking like they're on their way back.

BIG EAST
The Big East, frankly, is a complete joke. The only way they will gain any credibility in my book is when they get TCU into the conference next year. But, even then, they will still be far below the other BCS Conferences. West Virginia was a national power for a few years which gave the conference some credibility, but since then, their BCS track record has been nothing short of pathetic.

BIG TEN
Nebraska joins the Big Ten, and has an immediate shot to win it. The mighty Buckeyes took a tumble this offseason as they lost their starting QB and National-Championship winning Cheater, I mean Coach. It should be fairly wide open this year, although Wisconsin, Nebraska, and even Ohio State are clearly the class of the Big Ten.

This should be an interesting year as the conference goes from 12 to 10 and no longer has a conference championship game. It should be a 4-horse race this year in the Big 12, as Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Texas and Texas A&M all have solid squads that are looking to make BCS runs.

MOUNTAIN WEST
BYU and Utah bolted the conference, but they added Boise State, to make the conference relevant for one more season before TCU bolts for greener pastures as well. It should be an interesting year, though, as TCU travels to Boise in early November.

What a year for the Pac-12. They added a conference championship along with 2 brand new media markets and they got a team to the National Championship Game and they competed with the SEC. This should be one of the more intriguing conferences this season as we see how the new divisions shake out.
