My take on the situation at the U

Alright, since I have had to talk about the situation at my beloved University of Miami and the allegations against my Hurricanes, I will just post it here so everyone can see them...

There is some good news and some bad news to come out of this, which do you want first? Bad? Okay...

Bad news is that Miami is in some serious trouble. I wouldn't put it past the NCAA to give us the death penalty. Also, Nevin Shapiro is the biggest you know what in the history of the world. I just dont understand how you can sell out the program and players that you clearly care about and clearly want to succeed. I just dont understand it, but, hey, who can understand the mind of a convicted felon?

More bad news is that the President of the University, Donna Shalala, will probably be forced to resign, I mean, that's not bad news for me because I think she is just unbearably annoying, but it does not look good for the University.

Finally, the good news. I believe that, because of Miami, the NCAA will make some serious changes and the landscape of college athletics will be forever changed. I think that out of this, student-athletes will be allowed to receive a set stipend every month from the University. So, in the long run, I think that this will be a good thing for the NCAA, and that is okay with me. Right now, it hurts that students from my favorite University would do this and be this selfish, but in the long run this will probably be a good thing. It's not the end of the world that my 'Canes may not be playing football for a few years, I still have my Niners and my Fightin' Texas Aggies, but it still hurts. I hope we do not get the death penalty but I am preparing for the worst.

Until the decision comes from on high, I will support my Canes in every game they play, LETS GO CANES!!!

Niners

After many hours and weeks of deliberation, I have decided to take the more difficult route and once again become a loyal and devoted fan of my San Francisco 49ers.

As a child, I was the biggest Niners fan in the world, just ask my family. However, as I got older, I was forced, and essentially colonized into becoming a Cowboys fan. It is hard to avoid being a Cowboys fan in Dallas, and I fell into the trap. But, I have now decided to return to where my heart truly lies, in San Francisco, with my Niners.

I apologize to all of my friends that are Cowboy fans. We had some good times, guys, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and the time has come for me to embrace the true essence of my NFL fandom. This is the opposite of a fair-weather move, as the Cowboys are in position to contend, and the Niners are in a major slump of late, and really are a terrible franchise. I look forward to rising up again with my team as we work to get back into Super Bowl contention.

I am now, and forever will be, a San Francisco 49ers fan. Good luck to you Cowboys fans, but I have to do what I want. Thank you for the memories, but the time has come. Go NINERS!
